Free Workshop March 1: Playing Dynamic Bluegrass Rhythm Guitar

Bluegrass Band graphic for Rhythm Guitar WorkshopJoin us on Saturday, March 1 at 3PM for our free workshop:
Playing Dynamic Bluegrass Rhythm Guitar!

Tired of feeling like rhythm guitar is boring and one-dimensional compared to lead guitar? This great workshop will explore the depth and possibilities of rhythm guitar in a bluegrass context. Led by Mike Horan, guitarist for the Midday Ramblers and Repair Shop Manager at Mass St Music, this hands-on clinic will tackle various vocabulary in the bluegrass vernacular, including bass runs, syncopation, G-runs, voice-leading, playing the holes, and the all-encompassing rest stroke. If you're curious about what all those things mean, to you and to the greater bluegrass world, this workshop is for you.  Bring your flattop and let's play!

Note: This workshop is designed for intermediate level players.  A basic understanding of bluegrass and its song structures is helpful.  Having said that, beginners might find it interesting, but could be limited in how much they can participate.
