This Catalinbread Octapussy Octave Fuzz Pedal boasts a plethora of usable tones in an easy to use, board-friendly, three-knob package. It combines thick, rich fuzz with a really cool octave effect. Think Jimi's "Purple Haze" or Kenny Wayne Shepherd's "Blue on Black" lead tone. But it also excels at really cool in-between and out-there tones. Droney, subtle sitar-like sounds, all the way to industrial strength, buzzsaw madness. It has a Gain and Body control which combine to increase output and harmonics as you turn them up. The Gain stays more focused on fuzz and upper midrange while Body is more focused on bass response and octave output. The only other knob‰ÛÓthe Attenuate control‰ÛÓis really handy for reducing the pedal's overall output, especially if you've got both Body and Gain cranked.
