This 1924 A1 Snakehead Mandolin is an excellent example of a favored model. The original finish is bright and clean, with minor nicks and dings acceptable to an instrument that has been played, but never abused. There is one small screw hole in the top at the 14th fret area, and one small screw hole at the pickguard mount area—both from the removal of a non-original pickguard. The correct pickguard here is in excellent condition, as are the original frets. The original era bridge foot has a non original saddle. The neck is very straight with excellent playability. This 1924 A1 Snakehead Mandolin is in Very Good condition and comes with the original hard case. Serial# 76627.
