How did Mass. St. Music become the #1 dealer in the world of Grosh Guitars, for the second year in a row? It's easy to sell a product you really believe in, especially when you know your customer will love it as much as you do. Our own John Flynn owns several Grosh guitars and can tell you first hand how exceptional these guitars really are.
Grosh Guitars (and Pickups too) represent the very best of what a small, passionate luthier can accomplish using a combination of tried and true traditional designs and modern construction techniques. Don has built and worked for many professional musicians, and this real-world knowledge finds its way into everything that he builds. Only the very best materials are used, all of which are personally selected by Don himself from a private stock of tonewoods. Don Grosh consistently raises the bar, competing with the very best vintage and modern instruments.
All Grosh Guitars are simply outstanding - the ElectraJets, Retro Classics, Hollow Carve Tops, Basses, and Set Neck Customs have the same vibe and timeless value.
We're proud to also be an Authorized Grosh Reserve Dealer! The Grosh Reserve guitars are the pinnacle of Don's talents - impeccable, premier, limited edition one-off and very small run guitars. These special guitars are crafted from master-grade old-growth body and neck woods direct from Don's personal reserve wood collection and will have configurations and features not otherwise available. Released a few times a year, on a first-come first-serve basis.

It's not everyday we get a guitar like this - this Grosh Sunset '79 is bad to the bone. Paying homage to the early 80s rock scene, this Plum Metallic finished rock machine is loaded with a single zebra Blown '59 humbucker, a single volume control, and a whole lot of attitude. Floyd Rose bridge with locking tremolo, it has a matching headstock with a modified D-shape Maple neck and weighs in at 7 pounds, 8 ounces. Of course Grosh's exceptional craftsmanship and playability as well. This Grosh Sunset '79 comes with a custom-fit hardshell case.

This Grosh ElectraJet Standard is loaded with a set of Grosh's own killer G-90 pickups - incredible sound and super versatile. The Maple neck has a standard roundback shape, 1 5/8" nutwidth, and an Indian Rosewood fretboard with a 10" radius. Perfect weight and a great feel at 7 pounds, 9 ounces. This has non-locking Kluson tuners, a Gotoh Tremolo and Don's beautiful ultra-thin, high gloss Black finish. A custom fit hard case is included too. Don only builds about 300 instruments in a year. His attention to detail and dedication to tone are evident in every guitar he makes.
"The EJ Standard is incredibly resonant, and it plays like a broken-in favorite right from the shelf, and the pickups are second to none. All at a price that you can not find a boutique instrument at." - John F.
$1,999.00
This outstanding Grosh Retro Classic Hollow T Standard Limited Edition delivers beautiful tone in a supremely playable instrument, priced at least $1k below that of an RCHT Custom. Our co-owner Flynn had bugged Don Grosh often about doing a Standard Hollow T. Don decided to do just a few, called to see if we wanted one or two and John took all four - and got to choose the colors! This is an amazingly resonant guitar at great price and we have these in Mary Kay Aged White, Two Tone Burst, Surf Green and Butterscotch Blonde. At least for the foreseeable future, these are the only four - not a new model.
"These turned out even better than I had anticipated. The semi-hollow widens the over all attack a bit, creating huge, beautiful chords and single notes that have a real glow to them...but make no mistake, this guitar can still snap like a great Tele. Don did a magnificent job on these pickups and the guitar acoustically is like all Grosh instruments - completely alive." - John Flynn.
This RCHT Standard has a semi-hollow Swamp Ash body, here with a Mary Kay Aged White finish, and a perfect weight of 6 pounds, 10 ounces. It's loaded with Grosh's own T style pickups, with a Gotoh bridge and a killer neck with a 1 5/8" nutwidth, standard roundback shape and 10" radius. This Grosh Retro Classic Hollow T Standard Limited Edition comes with a hard case and set up from our luthiers too.
