Beautifully built in Boulder, Colorado, this Ome Juniper 12" Open Back Banjo is a great player with a unique look. Here with a gorgeous Cambodian Beng fingerboard (see photos), and a Honduran Mahogany neck and pot, this banjo's lighter aesthetic is very cool. Made with a rolled brass tone ring, nickel Ome hardware, and a no-knot tailpiece, the craftsmanship here is impeccable. A 12" head and open back produce a richly resonant, warm tone, and it is surprisingly loud. Its Honduran Mahogany neck is extremely comfortable and playable - once you start playing this banjo you won't want to put it down. Spikes at 7 and 9, fantastic inlay work, and a scoop in the fretboard. This Ome Juniper 12" Open Back Banjo comes with a hardshell case.
This Ome Flora Open Back Banjo is spectacular. Handmade in Boulder, CO, its quality craftsmanship and simple yet elegant design make this instrument great to the eyes and the ears. It has a 11" rim with a rolled brass tone ring, and Ome's new Sweetone tailpiece which improves clarity and intonation. With a 1.34" nut width and 25.5" scale, its wider-than-normal fingerboard and shorter length make for great playability, and give your fingers more room to move. An S-scooped Ebony fretboard with a floral inlay, along with its aged brass hardware, oil varnish finish, and beautiful inlay on the headstock make this a stunning instrument. A great banjo all around, this Ome Flora Open Back Banjo comes with a hard case.
This Ome North Star 12" Open Back Banjo is a beauty. Here with a Cherry rim and neck, it has a bit wider nut and slightly shorter scale, making for smooth and easy playability. A rolled brass tone ring adds to its deep and woody tone, and its body is very resonant. Aged brass hardware, stunning inlays on the headstock, fretboard, and heelcap, and a nice light stain give this instrument a cool vintage aesthetic. It also has a Ome Sweetone tailpiece, and comes with a hard case. Made in Boulder, CO, this Ome North Star 12" Open Back Banjo is a fine example of Ome's master craftsmanship.
This beautiful Ome Southern Cross Banjo was crafted with pre-war bluegrass banjos in mind. This has a premium HG50 tone ring by Chuck Ogsbury (sand-cast bell-bronze crafted from a new alloy mix that weighs in about 4 ounces heavier than other tone rings). The resonator is gorgeous Walnut, as is the neck. The Rosewood fretboard is radiused and this has a 1.28" nutwidth - and spikes at the 7th and 9th frets for more versatility. A Sosebee bridge and Presto tailpiece round this beauty out. Stunning, true vintage tone, and easy on the eyes too. This Ome Southern Cross Banjo comes with a hard case and set up from one of our luthiers too.
