Wow. From its incredible vintage aesthetic to its unique sound and pickup configuration, this 1964 National Model 85 Bass is super cool. All original here, and only one owner, it's in Excellent condition and ready to play. It even comes with the original hard case and all the case candy (see photo). Its short scale makes it extremely comfortable in hand and fretwork easy. It has two magnetic pickups, one in the neck, and another inlaid into the bridge. The bridge pickup is slightly softer, yet lends a nice, almost acoustic sound to the tone. This configuration is controlled by Volume and Blend knobs. Set up with flat wound strings, this is a very smooth sounding bass. This 1964 National Model 85 Bass is a unique instrument for the bassist looking to diversify.

Stunning appointments include a bound Rosewood fretboard, black peghead veneer with white National logo, and open gear tuners. Spotless, this National PolyTricone Resonator comes with its original hard shell case. $1,800. Consignment item. Sorry, shipping not included. USED

Wow...this 1953 National Double Neck Lap Steel is in Excellent Plus condition, with the original case, cord and even a cool slide with it. We've had one of these in the store before, a '51, but this one is much cleaner. Both necks here are the same height. This is a really cool lap steel and more fun than a barrel of monkeys to play. USED
This vintage 1932 National Duolian guitar is as right as they get and is in Very Good condition. It has enough play wear to give it "The Look", but it's never been abused. 12 frets to the body with a plain F hole. It was reported that the owner of this was an Abilene, Kansas woman who played in church. The "Frosted Duco" finish is lovingly worn off where a pickguard would be, though these guitars did not have pickguards. The finish is appropriately worn where she must have spent a great deal of time in first position, and the fretboard has identical wear. The case is the original soft shell, also in very good condition. The neck has a very nice roundish shape and is pretty straight, but the angle at the body has come up, as they are prone to do. As a slide guitar, all this guitar needs is a new home and a set of strings. As a fretted guitar, a neck set and refret would make this a great player. I may get around to doing the neck set soon, which is about a $600 job, but wanted to get it on our site first, in case someone wanted it in its untouched condition. - Jim B. s/n: C4496 USED
