"I have long considered this model to be a jewel in the Martin line. These guitars always sound nice and warm, as you might expect from the combination of East Indian Rosewood and the short scale. What you might not expect is how clear and open sounding this particular guitar is. A very nice guitar and a lot of fun to play." - Tim N.

Martin D-18 Authentic

Martin Acoustic Guitars - D-18 Authentic

This Martin D-18 Authentic is considered by many players, collectors and aficionados to be the best new guitar since the real golden era of the 1930s. I can tell you from personal experience that the Martin Co. put out a lot of effort to make this model true to the name "Authentic". They studied and measured fine old 1936 and 37 D-18s, sent out prototypes to dealers and players and eventually came up with a new guitar that feels, looks and sounds like what I can imagine a new D-18 sounded like when grandpa brought one home in 1937. This particular guitar was purchased new from Mass Street by a customer who has owned several 30s and earlier guitars. It has been played, but remains in Near Mint condition, with only very minor signs of play wear. This guitar was picked out of a group of three that we had at the time, and returned to us for sale sounding even more impressive due to a few years of playing. - Jim B.

"This guitar has completely opened up and sounds beautiful. What a joy to play." - Matthew K.

This D-18 includes a black Geib style case for $4800. Near Mint gray exterior Calton case included for $5300 total. Consignment item, sorry no free shipping. USED

Martin 75th Anniversary D-28

Martin Acoustic Guitars - 75th Anniversary D-28

Absolutely spectacular Martin 75th Anniversary D-28. This has a tremendous, big and rich sound from the Adirondack Spruce top and Madagascar Rosewood back and sides. This beauty marks the 75th anniversary of the D-28's debut and includes some very nice detailing and construction including the aging toner, the Butterbean tuners, the Golden Era diamond and square inlays and a label inside signed 'C.F. Martin IV'. The headstock also includes commemorative marking. More than the details, this is a cannon with a comfortable 1 3/4" nut. The wood combination here is sonically and visually fantastic. A classic, revisioned and a definite keeper.

Martin 1957 D-18

Martin Acoustic Guitars - 1957 D-18

This is about as nice of a 1957 as one could hope to find - the rare Martin that has not had a neck set and does not require one. This has a perfect neck angle. The finish is all original, with no touch overspray. The bridge is new, but exactly the same size as the original and made from a very nice Brazilian blank, matched to the Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard. The frets are original and still in good condition. The tuners were changed to early 60s patented Grovers. The guitar has a great look and sound, and is fun to play. Serial # 154470. Includes newer hard case. $5,795. For more information call us at 1-800-747-9980 or email Jim Baggett directly at USED

Martin 1939 D-18

Martin Acoustic Guitars - 1939 D-18

This vintage 1939 Martin D-18 is an early '39, in Very Good condition and has the wide neck and bridge pin spacing. Though this guitar has a few issues that effect the value, it is about as nice of a prewar as they come when considering sound and playability. The top has four or five shrinkage cracks that were repaired many years ago. They do not move and are not that apparent. The finish is original and has the wear and checking you would expect to see in a 70 year old guitar that has been played, but not abused. The tuners are also original and in excellent working order. The playability is extraordinary, in part due to the high quality refret on a full thickness fretboard. This guitar is a joy to play and has been played by many of my professional player friends. This guitar is often picked out as a favorite from guitars that are at least twice the price. Serial# 72029. Includes non-original hard case. $19,500

Martin OM-28V

Martin Acoustic Guitars - OM-28V

This Martin OM-28V is definitely a stand-out! It has that nice traditional Martin tone that we all love with the vintage looks to match it. The slight V-shape neck is nice and comfortable...definitely my favorite neck profile. Comes with the very plush Martin GEIB style wooden case. Sweet!- Brian S.

This Vintage Reissue Acoustic Guitar has a silky sweet tone produced by a solid Sitka spruce top combined with narrow-waisted comfort and sumptuous appointments. Solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, bold herringbone top inlay, grained ivoroid binding and heel cap, HD zigzag back purfling, and a black ebony fretboard mark this one as a true luxury instrument. Traditional scalloped 1/4" bracing, solid mahogany neck, modified V neck shape, traditional open-geared Gotoh nickel tuners with butterbean knobs, and a Corian nut makes this guitar authentic and ready for years of serious use.

Retail on this Martin OM-28V is $4,099. Minimum advertised price is $3,099. Give us a call at 1-800-747-9980 or email us at for details. s/n: 1371155
