April 2019 - Mass Street Staff Picks
Josh Baldridge – Taylor Guitars - Grand Pacific Dreadnoughts
I had the chance to play some of the earlier versions of this new model and now I'm very excited to have them at the store to show customers. The Grand Pacifics are a new tonal direction for Taylor. The more mellow attack and clear, focused response is going to make them ideal for the recording musician.

Jim Baggett – Collings Acoustic Guitars - OM1 A Traditional T Series
Great sounding Mahogany OM. The Adirondack top brings a lot of power to this orchestra model traditional.

Eric Putnam – Collings Electric Guitars - City Limits Deluxe Lemon Burst
Another great Collings electric. Has a crazy amount of sustain, and the Wolfetone Legends hit the front of the amp nicely, but still maintain articulate vintage tones.

Brian Soden – Mythos Pedals - Golden Fleece Fuzz
This little guy has made a BIG impression on all of us here at the store. Whether you're a fuzz pedal noobie or a collector, you'll love the small footprint, super affordable price and, of course, the glorious tone it emits! You can cover everything from definitive ZZ Top fuzz tones to mid-gain classic rock sounds by adjusting your guitar's volume control. This is one highly addictive fuzz box! Made in Nashville, TN.

Mike Horan – Collings Acoustic Guitars - 01 Mahogany Traditional T Series
My pick this month would be the Collings 01 Mh that I recently recorded a demo on. Beautiful and delicate appointments with a full, woody tone.

Trey Durkin – OME Banjos - Juniper Megatone Bluegrass Resonator
I'm more of an old time picker usually, but this banjo has got me itchin' for my fingerpicks lately! All the craftsmanship and beautiful appointments that we have come to expect from OME are there in this build. Featuring a Flathead tonering, frosted head, and presto style tailpiece, this banjo sounds as classic as it gets.

Susan Willits - Kala Ukuleles - Rumbler U-Bass
This Kala Rumbler U-Bass is extremely fun to play! Wonderfully full, round, warm sound from this compact, easily transportable bass. Stand up and play for hours with no shoulder fatigue! Includes a padded gig bag.

Matt Kappenman – Collings Acoustic Guitars - D1 Traditional T Series Custom Sunburst
This is one of those guitars that grabbed my attention from the moment I opened the case. Collings absolutely nailed the sunburst on this D1, and with the Sitka top it's so responsive and easy to play that I might have taken an extra long break to really try it out.
Tons of great Collings Traditionals in the shop right now!
