Designed to emulate Jimmy Page's legendary performance at Royal Albert Hall in 1970, the Catalinbread RAH Overdrive pedal downright does so. While Led Zeppelin's sound was pretty compound, this pedal makes at least a portion of that easy to attain. By including only five knobs, you're able to manage your tone quickly. The Master control is responsible for output volume, best set at unity with the drive off or on. The Gain control is analogous with your amp's volume, best set between 75 and 100% for the ultimate Page tone. Three Tone controls allow you to individually manipulate the Treble, Mids, and Bass for an even more customized tone you can find your inner Page without having to dabble too much and by fine tuning the output's overall sound.

Combining elements of the Dirty Little Secret pedal, you get an awful lot of variation in this dynamic pedal, and it makes for an excellent foundation overdrive for your pedalboard. It sounds amazing through a couple humbuckers, like Page's, but it also is a great fit for most single-coils. That's the beauty of the level of control it offers. Described as "nearly symphonic," this Catalinbread RAH Overdrive pedal delivers a venerable uncompressed dirty overdrive, capable of re-creating that immediately recognizable '70s wall-of-rock sound made famous by that band named for a blimp.
