This Collings Custom D2 Baaa, serial# 6447, is custom in every respect. Built by Bill Collings for his friend Dean Fearing of Dallas, TX, it features a beautiful AAA-grade Brazilian Rosewood back and sides with an exceptionally nice and even Adirondack Spruce top. It has Ivoroid binding on the body, neck, and peghead, and is intentionally understated by lacking the typical Herringbone purfling. It has a large soundhole and Dalmatian-style pickguard similar to Collings' CW models.

This has a 25 1/2” scale length, 1 3/4" nut width, and pre-war-style 2 3/8" string spacing at the bridge. It was custom ordered with a very beefy neck, so if you like big necks this is a great choice. The pins and saddle are beautiful fossilized ivory, and the sunburst finish is as gorgeous as can be. Here in Excellent condition, this Collings Custom D2 Baaa sounds and plays great, and includes a bright yellow Calton case.
