The Cusack Effects - Orthrus Hi Gain Distortion is a monstrous tone machine with a ton of gain on tap and some added functionality. This is a high gain pedal with bright and gritty metal style that will make you want to chug through power chords. The second switch can do 2 different things. It can be set to be a 3, 6, or 9db of boost, or set it to perform as a kill switch. The added gain can really make a solo stand out, or push your tube amp hard. The kill option is a cool way to incorporate glitchy or rhythmic signal loss. As always, Cusack brings in a high level of attention to detail and craftsmanship to their designs.
