This Fender Electric Guitars - 1978 Mustang, here in an Antigua finish brings a new look to this iconic design. Featuring the Mustang dual single coil slant-mounted pickups, along with independent switch controls, this guitar has that vintage Fender tone, in a smaller, lighter package.

The finish is in very good shape for being an over 40-year-old instrument, but there are a few dings, nicks and scratches to the body, along with a dent to the finish in the neck which does not affect playability. There is an impression in the finish near the waist on the treble side, probably from a pair of keys in someone's pocket. There is also a bit of wear along the back side of the lower bout from where a strap would rub against the guitar. (see photos)

The black bobbin pickups and pots both date to 1978. The serial number sticker on the pickguard matches the headstock. Original tuners along with bridge cover and bar. Includes the original Fender hardshell Mustang-style case. Serial# S824469
