This Grosh ElectraJet Standard is a Rock 'n Roll guitar with some serious attitude. Right off the bat, you can tell this Standard means business with a deep black, ultra-thin high gloss finish, black pickguard, and smooth, fast-playing satin-finished Maple neck with a Standard Roundback shape (.830-.930). The Alder body is extremely resonant, weighing in at a comfortable 7 lb., 7 oz. This is a real player that's all about the sound, though, loaded with two Grosh Blown 59 humbuckers - a great, hotter pickup which can cover a lot of ground.
We love the Blown '59s for their versatility, being a bit hotter than standard humbuckers, they sound amazing when pushing a British style amp. They manage to retain a more vintage voice while still being very aggressive. The volume roll-off is great - it cleans up nicely when you back off, but is biting, throaty, and has massive sustain without being harsh. Don calls them a "hot-rodded player's dream pickup," and he's right. This Grosh ElectraJet Standard is everything you could want in a top-notch custom at a standard price. Includes fitted hard case, trem bar, and a full setup to your specs from one of our luthiers.
This item does have some shop-wear, with pickguard scratches and a small ding on the back (see photos).
