This used P.W. Crump I-GC is the product of combining an extra octave mandolin neck without a body and a parlor-style guitar body without a neck - together they transformed into an incredibly versatile and cool guitar-bouzouki hybrid. This is suitable for fingerstyle players, as well as crosspickers, who want to add some depth to an ensemble.

It's made with extremely curly Koa back and sides and a nice-sounding Spruce top, and has a relatively flat neck profile and an ovaled fingerboard with 21 frets and a custom Columbine wildflower Abalone inlay between the 9th and 15th frets, as well as a complete plant on the headstock. Its other appointments include: black binding throughout; black/white wood nitrate purfling; clear pickguard; and gold tuners with black buttons.

Built with X-bracing, this is a great-sounding instrument that's quite uncommon. The top and back woods were selected especially for this hybrid after having been aged 25 - 30 years prior to construction. Here in Very Good condition, it has some minimal playwear as expected from something made in 2000. The bridge has been reglued, as well as a top touch-up near the bridge (see photo). This handmade P.W. Crump I-GC includes a hardshell case.
