Very simple and very effective, the Rockbox Effects - Matadore Pre Amp adds just the right amount of sparkle to your overdriven sound. Use it as a clean boost, or nail some heavy overdriven-amp sustain, this pedal brings a sophisticated tone to you rig. As with most Rockbox Effects, there is not shortage of gain, but this pedal retains an amp quality and never gets into full-shed like some other pedals from this boutique maker. Featuring a very solid construction from some great components, and a true-bypass switch allows your signal to pass directly from input to output when not engaged.
