The L.R. Baggs Element Active VTC is a specially designed undersaddle acoustic guitar pickup that is meant to capture greater nuance and unique characteristics than most pickups of the same design. With a flexible film sensor only .02" thick, what you hear from this design is high clarity as it mirrors the soundboard's movement. Less "quack" on the attack caused by compression is the result of the all the R&D at L.R. Baggs. The VTC (Volume and Tone Control) gives you a treble tone control and a special low frequency compression circuit along with volume control that mounts inside the sound hole. It is all powered by a 9V battery.
