This used Fender Twin Reverb Silverface from 1970 is about as iconic as a guitar amp can get - one that defines entire generations of sound. Here with the original pair of 12" Fender Special Design speakers, it can blast out riffs with up to 100 watts of power at 8 ohms, and is fully capable of filling medium-sized gigs on its own with no problem - and with an External Speaker input, you can add even more volume to an already outstanding rig. In Very Good condition, it has some wear to its tolex cover and a small tear in the grille cloth (see photos). Additionally, it's had some repairs over the years.

All of the electrolytic capacitors (main filters, bias filter, cathode bypass caps) have been replaced with new Sprague Atom types. The 200k bleeder/divider resistor in the main filter has also been replaced, as have the 2.2k and 10k B+ rail resistors. A three-conductor AC cord has been installed, and the chassis is now grounded, while the fuse has been moved to be in the hot leg with the switch. The so-called "death cap" has been removed, and the ground switch has been disconnected and no longer has any function. The bias dropping resistor has been changed from 3.3k to 1k, and the bias balance circuit was changed to an absolute bias set circuit, and then rebiased. All pots, jacks and sockets, and the chassis have all been cleaned, too.

Additionally, the existing 6L6GC tubes have been replaced with four Electro-Harmonix 6L6GC power amp tubes. The original four 12AX7 and two 12AT7 preamp tubes are still installed and sound phenomenal. Super clean with tons of headroom, the Twin Reverb is known for being incredibly pedal-friendly, and with its two channels - Normal and Vibrato - you have plenty of tonal options and some effects available. The Normal channel has two inputs, a Bright switch, Volume, Treble, Middle, and Bass controls. The Vibrato channel, meanwhile, has the same four and Bright switch, as well as Reverb, Speed, and Intensity controls. Used by countless guitarists over the decades, from Kurt Cobain to John Lennon, the Fender Twin Reverb Silverface is one to definitely try if you're looking for that iconic and exemplary Fender tone.
