Custom Orders
Why settle for a good guitar when you can get your dream guitar, often at about the same price? Many of the builders we work with offer amazing options and full custom instruments. Getting a custom instrument, or one with particular specs is easy with Mass Street Music because we order them often. A special custom order is often less expensive than you'd think too, particularly in comparison with some standard 'customs' where you really have no choices at all.
Anderson, Collings, Grosh, Helweg pedal boards, Seuf, Taylor - all enable the customer to choose from an array of options – neck widths, nutwidths, woods, fingerboard material, interior bracing material, inlay, pickups and more.
Our four experienced Repair Shop luthiers also create custom work here at Mass Street – from custom bone nuts to pickguards, plus they're mad about modifications. So don't be afraid to dream. We're happy to help pair your tonal vision with the right options that will deliver just what you're after.

From the Crowdster to the T Classic, Anderson's fit and finish are simply impeccable. They also give you an amazing amount of options to get the exact guitar you're after - from the aesthetics to the nutwidth, the pickups to the switching.
There are many options with Collings guitars and whether you're wishing for a little more bling or a special neck width it can usually be done. We often order our regular stock Collings with no tongue brace and Adirondack bracing as we believe these add to the resonance and responsiveness of this great instruments.
Don Grosh builds only about 300 guitars each year and we've been proud dealers for many years. Grosh is currently revamping their options page, so just give us a call and we'll give you the skinny.
Every Helweg Pedal Board is custom made, right here in Lawrence, Kansas. These are incredibly durable, ingeniously designed and you won't find a sharper looking board around. Helweg offers a multitude of options from the configuration to the coverings and color.
Hand made right near us in Kansas City, Missouri, Seuf Guitars offer vintage vibe and tone with modern playability and more custom options than you can shake a stick at. They also are some of the coolest looking guitars around as Dave's relicing is second to none - including his spectacular work with recreating exact vintage finish colors. Call us to learn more about Seuf's options which are numerous. Neck radiuses can be made from 7.25" to 12", neck profiles include Thin, Med, Fat, D, C or V shapes. Fretwire, finish, woods, controls, right down to the amount of relicing - it's up to you.
Taylor consistently builds beautiful sounding and spectacular looking guitars - now you can order one to your specs. Whether you'd like specific inlay work, a special binding or something else, you can easily do it through Taylor's great Build To Order options.
