Originally drawn to Gold Tone because of the quality of their entry-level banjos and mandos, we soon realized they have a lot more to offer, including some unique instruments. It's important to us to offer a selection of beginner instruments that are playable and affordable and Gold Tone fits the bill nicely with quality parts, professional design, tight fitting assembly, a nice factory set up, and great prices. They've shown their expertise not only with mandos like the GM70F, but they have a lot to offer in banjos, Resophonic Guitars, Tenor Guitars, Banjolas, Banjitars, Ukes, Weissenborn replicas too... it's a cool company and we are glad to offer them at Mass Street Music.

This Gold Tone Mandola is perfect for those wanting a more unique sound. Tuned lower and with a larger body than a mandolin, this instrument is traditionally tuned CGDA like a viola. It has a rich, deep tone, and allows players to experiment with less conventional keys. The lower register is also great for accompanying the vocalist. Here with a solid Spruce top, Mahogany back and sides, and a Rosewood fingerboard. This Gold Tone Mandola plays very well.
