AER Amps - Compact 60/3
This AER Compact 60/3 Acoustic Amp is an incredibly versatile, newly redesigned acoustic amp that doubles as a monitor and P.A. system - all while being straightforward and intuitive to use. With great transparency, what you play is faithfully reproduced without extra coloration, so you hear your guitar as it's intended. This is a no-frills workhorse in a lightweight (4 pounds lighter than before at just under 15 pounds), compact design that can go from studio to stage in a hurry. You've got two inputs, one optimized for guitar, the other designed as a mic channel - although the input is XLR/1/4" combo, so it can just as easily be a secondary instrument input. What's even better is that this thing can get loud - loud enough to compete with a drummer or play a small gig without any reinforcement.
Featuring a single 8" twin-cone full-range speaker and 60 watts of power at 4 ohms, it has an excellent open, dynamic sound, and it's enclosed in a 12" Birch ply casing, so your sound doesn't get lost or muddied. The top controls include independent controls for each channel. Channel 1 has a High/Low switch with 10 dB pad, Gain, a Colour switch, and Bass, Middle, and Treble EQs. Channel 2 has Line/Mic switch, Gain, and Bass, Middle, and Treble EQs. And its shared effects controls include Pan, a four-way selector for two reverbs, delay, and chorus, and Level.
The AER is a popular choice among many musicians, including Tommy Emmanuel and John Renbourn and even archtop players have moved to using it instead of a traditional electric tube amp. A super cool and portable combo, the AER Compact 60/3 Acoustic Amp is a must-have for performing singer-songwriters who don't want to lug around a full set-up or spend a whole lot of time tweaking their amp to find their tone - it's practically built-in to it already, and that's the beauty of it. Includes padded zip-up case with shoulder strap too.
