This Anderson Short Raven is a brand new offset body guitar from Tom Anderson, and it is as cool as can be. The Ice Blue Metallic finish is flat-out amazing, and it looks especially good with the aged-white pickguard on this electric. Its sleek offset body is slightly larger than a T- or S-style, but not too much. The Alder is super resonant, and the guitar balances perfectly, weighing in at 7 lb, 2 oz. This Raven also sports a 24 3/4” scale length, which makes it an absolute joy to play. Add to that the Happy Medium neck shape, 1 11/16” nut, and Low-Rise frets, and this guitar virtually plays itself. The sound here is spectacular, too, with Tom's new PH1 and PH2 pickups driving this Raven. The PH series pickups really have their own thing going on: the output of a P90, but with top end jangle reminiscent of Filtertrons. They sound phenomenal, and suit this model perfectly.
