This used Burns Brian May Signature is a faithful recreation of the Queen guitarist's iconic Red Special - only here in a crisp Sunburst finish. It has a Mahogany body with an acoustic chamber above and behind the bridge in order to further replicate the magnificent resonance of the original. With a slightly shorter scale (24") and 24 Medium frets, you have a stellar shredding machine, perfect for lead guitar but just as good for the rhythm section. Perhaps the coolest thing about it are the three Burns Tri-Sonic pickups. Designed to "sing" - that's Brian's way of saying picking up exorbitant amounts of good feedback - they sound absolutely amazing with the right amp. Somewhere between single-coil and humbuckers, these have more warmth than a single-coil and more top-end than a humbucker. Cooler still is how each pickup has its own individual On/Off and Phase Reversal switches, so you can play around with your tone in a lot of ways.
In Excellent condition, it has some minor playwear, including a small chip a few inches above the bridge, but otherwise it's in great shape, especially for being 11 years old. This Burns Brian May Signature electric guitar is from the original run from Burns, not from when Brian May Guitars overtook production in 2004. Includes original hardshell case.
