This Collings CJ East Indian Rosewood Western Shaded Top, serial# 23275, is a gorgeous take on the classic slope-shouldered dreadnought, with a similar depth and width but with a distinct tone all its own. Its almost percussive bottom end is perfect for blues tunes, although anyone wanting a controlled bass response will find this guitar ideal. The glorious Western Shaded finish is stunning on its Sitka Spruce top, accompanied by the East Indian Rosewood back and sides, which make for a full-bodied voice and voluminous sound. The woods were selected by Collings' "wood whisperer", Bruce Van Wart who matches the woods for every acoustic they make.

The Mahogany neck features a comfortable Medium-Fat C profile, and the Ebony fingerboard has 20 Medium frets with mother-of-pearl dot inlays. An elegant cross-cut grained ivoroid and wood nitrate rosette round out this guitar's beautiful presence, while its impeccable tone and build quality really make it stand out. The Collings CJ East Indian Rosewood Western Shaded Top is an absolute powerhouse of a guitar, with superb tone and marvelous appointments, including a black/white wood purfling and a killer three-style mosaic backstrip. Includes deluxe hardshell case and setup from our luthiers.
