This Collings D42 Brazilian A Varnish acoustic, serial# 22504, is our third recent opportunity to acquire a new Brazilian Rosewood guitar from Collings and it is a superb example of fine lutherie, as well as a true stunner. This instrument is loaded to the hilt with premium upgrades including gorgeous Brazilian Rosewood back and sides, an Adirondack Spruce top and bracing, along with a jaw dropping 42-style pearl top inlay with 45 style snowflakes and classic "flower pot" peg head inlay.

The varnish finish has a rich, beautiful lustre and really lets the wood resonant freely. The guitar sounds fantastic right out of the box - nice and open, with that signature snap that only Brazilian Rosewood provides. This Collings D42 Brazilian A Varnish acoustic is nestled perfectly in the newest incarnation of the legendary Calton dreadnought case, making this a truly deluxe package worthy of being the crown jewel of any player's collection.
