The Gretsch G9455 11" Dixie Special is a nice mid-level open-back banjo that would make for a great secondary player for veterans or an intro player for novices. Featuring a Maple Plywood rim and a Rolled Brass tone ring, it has a nice and dynamic tone with plenty of volume for playing live. The Hard Maple neck with a Vintage Soft U shape is super comfortable and the Rosewood fingerboard has 18 frets and a Frailing scoop. Other appointments include Pearloid diamond inlays; a Delrin nut; Ebony-topped Maple bridge; and a Vintage No-Knot tailpiece. This Gretsch G9455 11" Dixie Special includes a full setup to your specs, and, while it doesn't include a case, we have some available.
