Waterloo by Collings - WL-14 L T-Bar - Black

Playing this Waterloo by Collings WL-14 L T-Bar makes you feel like you discovered an old and untouched Kalamazoo or Gibson L-00 tucked away in your grandparents' attic - only it's much better thanks to Bill Collings' unprecedented and astounding build technique. This is a pared down 1930s- and '40s-inspired guitar with a classic old-time tone, powered by a focused low-end and pronounced mid-range. Featuring a Spruce top and Mahogany back and sides, it's coated in a Jet Black satin finish and accented with Ivoroid top and soundhole binding and an Ivoroid pickguard.

It has a solid Mahogany neck shaped in a vintage-inspired strong V, and has a nice Indian Rosewood fingerboard with 19 Medium frets. This also has a slightly shorter 24 7/8" scale length, a roomy 1 3/4" nut width, and 2 3/8" string spacing - vintage-style through and through. The structural details are great, too, including a bone cut-through saddle, Ebony nut and bridge, and Golden Age Restoration tuners. This also comes with Ladder-style bracing and a more traditional T-bar.

This is a genuinely remarkable acoustic at a great price and is tailor-made for fingerpickers, blues players and lovers of old time tunes - but anyone with a penchant for quality, value and traditional aesthetics will take a shine to the Waterloo by Collings WL-14 L T-Bar. It comes with a hard case and full setup to your specs from our luthiers.
