This used Collings Guitars - 1997 D1A has it, that big, bold tone that has made the D1A perfect for bluegrass jams. Featuring an Adirondack Spruce top, paired with Honduran Mahogany back and sides, this late 90s model has been broken-in and feels great whether you're strumming chords or diving into a fiddle tune.

Here in Good condition, it does have a repaired side crack and a finish shake on the bass side, finish checking around the nut, center seam finish sink, headstock edge dings, and numerous dings, nicks and scratches throughout. All that said it is a great player for being over 20-years-old. Includes the original hardshell case.

  • Square-Shouldered 14-fret Dreadnought with high-gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish and Tortoise-style binding
  • Adirondack Spruce top with Tortoise-style celluloid pickguard and black/white wood nitrate strip rosette
  • Mahogany back and sides with black/white wood purfling and 1-style Walnut backstrip
  • 25 1/2" scale length
  • Mahogany neck
  • Ebony fingerboard 20 Medium frets, and Mother-of-Pearl dot inlays
  • 1 3/4" nut width, bone
  • Bone Cut-through saddle with 2 3/16" string spacing
  • Ebony belly-style bridge
  • Nickel Waverly tuners
  • Hardshell case included
  • Serial# 3596
