This used Gibson - 1955 ES-125 is a guitar to behold not only for students interested in Gibson history, but players looking to capture the sound of the famed company's past. This guitar is a player-grade piece that is ready for another lifetime of playing. Fretwear is almost nominal, and certainly remarkable for a 60+ year old guitar. The acoustic sound is woody and bright with a percussive "thud" to chop chords that occupies a jazzheads dream. We can see finish checking and minor finish wear on the neck one would expect from a guitar of this vintage. Deeper bodied than the thinline version, this guitar comes from a time when the design had multiple purposes intended.
