Note: Local Lawrence, Kansas pick up only. This vintage 1970 Fender Deluxe Reverb Silverface is one of the most iconic combo amps on the market, with all the killer features and incredible tone you'd expect. Here with a single 12" Fender Special Design speaker, it doles out 22 watts of power from its all-tube design. It has two 6V6GT power tubes, and four 7025 and two 12AT7 preamp tubes.

An incorrect rectifier had been installed, but our amp-meister Jeff Gehring replaced it with the correct old stock 5U4. He has also made additional repairs and cleanings: the cathode bypass capacitors have been replaced with Sprague Atoms; the AC input circuit has been rewired to move the fuse from the neutral leg to the hot leg - that way the switch and fuse are both in the hot side; and the so-called "death cap" AC grounding capacitor was removed. Additionally, the main power supply filters and bias supply filter had already been replaced with Sprague caps. An incorrect fuse was installed (5A fast instead of 2A slow), so it was replaced, as was the fuse post. The sockets, jacks, pots and cabinet exterior have all been cleaned, and the exterior nickel plating polished.

While the cabinet itself shows the wear of many rocking gigs, it's still in Very Good condition - especially after 44 years of action. The front grille cloth has a tear in it, and the corners have been knocked around (see photos), but it still sounds absolutely amazing. The lush, tube-driven reverb and vibrato are staples - and they're everything you could ask for. It has the traditional two inputs per channel (Normal and Vibrato), and independent Volume, Treble and Bass controls on Normal, and Volume, Treble, Mid, Bass, Reverb, Speed and Intensity knobs on Vibrato. You're also able to add an external speaker via its rear inputs. The original Reverb/Vibrato footswitch is included, so you can switch between the built-in effects with ease. If you're looking for a great vintage amp that has been tended to professionally, then the 1970 Fender Deluxe Reverb Silverface is an excellent option - few amps sound as good as these do after all these years.
