This Bayard A Style Mandolin with a sunburst finish is an incredible professional instrument, handmade in Fayetteville, Arkansas, by the illustrious Bayard Blain. It has a full sound, remarkably balanced tone, and is as perfect for studio recording as it is for home and small venue playing. Made with an Adirondack Spruce top and Red Maple back and sides, it also has a Red Maple neck with a Cocobola Rosewood headplate, and a Honduran Rosewood bridge - you've got a mando replete with special woods across the board, that also gives you plenty of volume to cut through the band. With a slightly slimmer-than-normal nut width (1 3/32"), fast-playing has never been so easy, and a full 13 13/16" scale, allowing access to the entire 20 frets. A wonderful instrument, especially for bluegrass, folk and old-time this Bayard A Style Mandolin looks great, feels great, and is a real joy to play. Includes hardshell case.
