This Bayard Octave Mandolin is an exciting change of pace from the typical mando and features a larger body and longer scale with Sitka Spruce X-bracing. The top is Sitka Spruce, paired with Honduran Mahogany back and sides, and a Honduran Rosewood fingerboard, giving it a full-bodied voice and making it a real pleasure to play. It has a 22 1/8" scale with a slightly wider 1 9/32" nut - a comfortable transition for guitarists trying their hand at the significantly smaller mandolin. Handmade by Bayard Blain in Fayetteville, Arkansas, this Bayard Octave Mandolin plays smoothly, looks incredible, and sounds great. Original hardshell case included.
