From the workshop of Micah Bruce in Omaha, Nebraska comes our very first Bruce steel string guitar. We've been big fans of Micah's work over years and we're really excited about having his guitars in the shop. Having spent time in the world of boutique building at Collings, John Allison and Moniker guitars, along with years of repair experience, Micah really has delivered some great sounding guitars that we're happy to have here in the shop.
This 0-18 features an Adirondack spruce top over a Honduran Mahogany back and sides, constructed with traditional hide-glue and a beautiful aged nitrocellulose lacquer finish, there's a direct, warm and focused tone to this guitar. The purfling, binding and tasteful aging all make this guitar subtly standout, and the addition of the aged floral decal is such a lovely, whimsical touch that gives the vibe an old guitar that's lived a life.
The neck carve on this guitar is absolutely fantastic, and delivers a comfortable vintage shape, with a rolled fingerboard edge that instantly feels like home. This single-0 delivers a big, robust, vintage-inspired sound in a small-body package.
