The Jayne Deluxe from Bruce Guitars is one of the most unique guitars we've had in the shop for quite some time. From the workshop of luthier Micah Bruce, this electric guitar is constructed more like a flattop acoustic guitar, with a solid Sitka Spruce top, and X-bracing, along with a Sitka spruce back with a beautiful Burled Walnut veneer. This is an extremely resonate guitar that brings a boutique feel to the classic student model guitars of the '50s and '60s build.

While being an incredibly interesting guitar from a construction standpoint, there is a bit of magic happening in the electronics as well. Sporting two Curtis Novak gold foil pickups, these pickups are microphonic, allowing them to pick up every single tonal detail that comes roaring from its bellows. Hidden inside under the bridge is a K&K Pure Mini pickup, allowing for you to have the options to switch between the bell-like gold foils and the pure tonal resonance of its acoustic, hollow-body. In order to harness these options, this comes with a Morley ABY-Mix pedal, allowing you to route out to either an electric amp, an acoustic amp, or even both at the same time via a stereo cable.

From the workshop of Micah Bruce in Omaha, Nebraska, this model is part of our very first batch of Bruce guitars. We've been big fans of Micah's work over years and we're excited to his unique builds in the shop. Having spent time in the world of boutique building at Collings, John Allison and Moniker guitars, along with years of repair experience, Micah really has delivered some great sounding guitars.
