This used Charvel DX1-FR Desolation Soloist, in Excellent condition, is the kind of guitar that needs to be plugged in, turned up to 11 and shredded on. Like its name implies, it's designed for extended soloing, while still being an excellent choice for rhythm guitar - think early '80s Metallica when Kirk Hammett used Jackson guitars. And to really give it that metal edge, it's loaded with killer dual humbuckers: an EMG 85 in the neck and an EMG 81 in the bridge. The Mahogany body with Transparent Red finish offers a lingering sustain and weighs in at 7 lb, 5 oz. The Maple through-body neck lets you easily reach its 24 Jumbo frets for maximum shreddage. To top it off, it has the illustrious Floyd Rose double-locking tremolo system, so even with your sick tremolo dives, it always stay in tune. With all-black nickel hardware and a 12"-16" compound radius, this Charvel DX1-FR Desolation Soloist is just the right axe for some serious dragon-slaying. Includes hardshell case.
