Born in 1993, this used Collings OM2H Custom is older than most of the students here at the University of Kansas, and already has that gorgeous lived-in sound that usually takes years to acquire. Made with a versatile select Sitka Spruce top and East Indian Rosewood back and sides, this is an excellent choice for fingerstyle players and flatpickers alike, with a compact shape that makes playing onstage just as comfortable as on your couch. Its slightly shallower body (barely over 4" deep) provides incredible tone and a more immediate response.
It has a bound Mahogany headstock with the comfortable Modified V profile, as well as 1 11/16" bone nut, and a smooth-playing Ebony fingerboard. In Very Good condition, it does have some minor wear from 21 years of playing, notable along the top of the body - nothing that will affect the way in which it plays or sounds. This Collings OM2H Custom is a unique opportunity to own a Collings at an even better price - plus it's already opened up, so the tone is more than outstanding, right out of the gate. Includes original hardshell case, too.
