This used Collings Acoustic Guitars - 2005 D1A Varnish is a worn-in guitar with loads of Collings tone. Featuring an upgraded Adirondack top paired with Mahogany back and sides this D1A is one of the early Varnish models from the crew at Collings, before they started noting it on the label. This Adi top has been played-in and is open and responsive, custom ordered without a tongue brace to further compliment the vintage-style bracing.

There is a practically invisible, professionally repaired side crack (treble side at the waist which doesn't show up in photos), finish touchup on the headstock corner chip, along with areas of the top that have been worn through to bare wood around pickguard and soundhole. Dings, nicks and wear throughout, including some impressions and dents on the neck (see photos). The guitar has had a fresh PLEK fret dress and professional setup. Includes the original hardshell case.
