When you really want to make your presence known, the holy grail is this Collings CW Clarence White. The magic combination of the Adirondack Spruce top and AA+ Brazilian Rosewood back and sides plus the slightly larger soundhole really deliver on presence, sustain and wonderful tone. This CW was made in 1995 and is in Excellent Plus condition. It has a few small finish inconsistencies in the lower bout of the top, typical of early lacquer guitars of that era, but they are not a structural concern and are difficult to see unless you are in just the right lighting.
Playability on this CW is outstanding - the Mahogany neck has a slight V shape, the nutwidth is 1 22/32" (just under 1 3/4") and let's face it, this cannon is a blast to play. It's one of Collings' finest and both the front and back of the body, as well as the fretboard, are ivoroid bound. The heelcap is ivoroid as well - a small detail that just looks stunning. The nut and saddle are bone and the tuners are Waverly. This Collings CW Clarence White comes with the original hard case. Serial# 1651. USED
