This Collings D1A VN Custom showcases the outstanding sound, playability, and craftsmanship that Collings is know for, plus some this D1A has custom appointments we chose that are sure to please. We order many of our Collings with Adirondack top bracing and no tongue brace - small differences that go a long way in tone, without significantly adding to the price. This D1A also has the Vintage Now neck, which is slightly larger than the Collings Standard shape, but not quite as chunky as some larger vintage Martin necks. In addition, this has an Adirondack top and Mahogany back and sides for a rich, full, and warm sound, but with added tonal clarity that Bill and his team seem to have down to a science.
Other features include nickel Waverly tuners, a 1 3/4" nutwidth, and a belly-style bridge with wider 2 5/16” string spacing. Brand new with a hardshell case, this Collings D1A VN Custom sounds tremendous and exceeds expectations in every way.
