Collings Acoustic Guitars - 2013 CJ35

SOLD - Contact us for more options

This 2013 used Collings CJ35, serial# 21174, is a phenomenal acoustic guitar with a vintage, pre-war '30s-style vibe and presence, due in part to the non-scalloped, three tone bar Adirondack bracing and abbreviated tongue brace. These small changes, in addition to the Sitka Spruce top and Mahogany back and sides, really bolster its already great resonance. Replete with rich, full bass and beautiful, clear highs, its projection is out of this world. An absolutely perfect instrument for strummers and fingerstyle players alike, the clarity and sustain it delivers is distinctly Collings - and if you're familiar with Collings, you'll know how addicting that is.

It has a slightly shorter scale at 24 7/8”, with a roomier neck profile, 1 3/4” nut width and 2 5/16” string spacing making it one helluva player. Being a slope-shouldered jumbo style dreadnought, it offers just about everything a guitarist could want for practically any style of music - from blues and bluegrass to country and folk.

This CJ is just under a year old, and so well taken care of - it's in Near Mint condition. Inspired by our owner Jim's favorite vintage Gibson J-35, a guitar he loaned to Bill Collings during the developmental stages, helps make it one of our favorite newer models of acoustics on the market. It's really just that good. This Collings CJ35 guitar comes with its original hardshell case, too.
