This 2014 Collings DS2H acoustic guitar, serial# 22938, is based on the original 12-fret dreadnought shape from nearly a century ago. The overall shape has remained the same, as well as the wider 1 13/16" nut width and slotted headstock - but everything about it is decidedly modern. This slope shoulder guitar is made with a select Sitka Spruce top and East Indian Rosewood back and sides, and has a 7/8" longer body. The bridge has been placed a little closer to the center of the lower bout, giving it a particularly open tonality with remarkable warmth and depth that's rare in modern acoustics.
Perfect for both flatpicking and fingerstyle playing, this guitar has plenty of headroom, and its tonal diversity gives you an instrument that's remarkably versatile. The Collings DS2H is a fantastic guitar, and if you're looking for something equally suitable for the stage and studio, this is a great choice. Includes a deluxe hardshell case and full setup to your specs from our luthiers.
