This Collings Guitars - 290 DC - 1959 Faded Crimson encapsulates the simplicity and sophistication for which Collings guitars are renowned. Named after the scenic highway that runs through Texas Hill Country, the 290 embodies what it means to rock - a lightweight, versatile double-cutaway one-piece electric custom ordered with our favorite Wolftone P-90s.

What first jumps out is the gorgeous 1959 Faded Crimson finish, one can't help but feel like the choice of wood and color were expertly selected with purpose. The Collings wraparound bridge adds a simple, classic look, and the double cutaway gives un-hindered access to all the silky smooth frets.

The Wolfetone P-90 pickup set includes a custom Low-Wind P-90 Mean in the neck and a higher output P-90 Meanest in the bridge that can really bridge some growl. These things can do it all from pushing an amp into a bright chime or backing off for subtle rhythm. All tones accessible through a common Les Paul wiring configuration. Playing this guitar feels like being at the apex of modern guitar design, but miles beyond in vintage appeal. Includes hardshell case and setup by one of our repair shop luthiers.
