This 1996 C-10 cutaway is great sounding example of a nearly 30-year-old Collings guitar that's been played out and enjoyed. Featuring a Sitka Spruce top over Honduran Mahogany back and sides, all packed in to a 00-sized package that's perfect for anyone interested in folk, blues or delta tunes, but bold enough for fingerstyle and strummers alike.

This particular C10 features a cutaway along with an elegant Bill Collings designed heel for access to higher frets. A stunning Sunburst finish looks great on this body shape. Here in good condition, noting a few nicks and playwear, particularly around the soundhole and pickguard. There is evidence that the bridge has been off and on in the past, with finish having been removed around the footprint of the bridge in the process. There is the beginnings of minor buck rash to the finish on the back near the heel. The bridge pins have been replaced.

An LR Baggs Element Active pickup has been installed. Includes the original Collings hardshell case.

With great tonal clarity, and a nicely focused low end, this C10 is a fantastic sounding small-bodied guitar.
