This Collings D1 A Hill Country represents a new line of vintage-inspired guitars from the Collings team down in Austin, TX. The Hill Country models feature a dry, focused and direct sound, with a really fundamental response to the string, making this new model a flatpicking canon. There are almost no overtones present in this particular D1, allowing it to fit in an ensemble and really cut through a mix, along with delivering a punch and growl that feels reminiscent of our favorite vintage guitars. We feel incredibly fortunate to be able to represent Collings and the Hill Country line, as each one of these guitars continues to turn heads here at the shop.
