This Hill Country OM2 from Collings delivers a direct, focused, all-killer-no-filler type of rosewood Orchestra Model. Here with a full sound, and a rich warmth throughout the range of the instrument - without some of the high-end harmonic complexity found in modern guitars - more of a vintage sound right out of the case.

The Hill Country line of guitars deliver a new vintage-voiced build, with the same quality and attention to detail that has always been synonymous with Collings, but in warmer, dry, low-end and mid-focused guitar. Here with an Adirondack spruce top, paired with East Indian Rosewood, this OM features hand-poured tortoise appointments, new bracing and top/back voicings, and a stamped Collings logo on the back of the headstock.

Extremely well balanced, every note across the fingerboard is present, while providing a big sounding fundamental that decays beautifully, without upper frequency harmonics, more of the dry, vintage tone that we love about the mid to late 1930s guitars. The full, vintage-inspired neck is comfortable to play, with the added resonance and response that comes from the Hill Country neck construction, something that can be felt in the left hand and definitely heard in the room.

The control, and power that comes from this line of Collings guitars rivals any sort of vintage-inspired build out there, and we're so very excited to get to spend time getting to know these guitars before we usher them along to their new home. Includes a free Mass Street setup from our crew of luthiers along with the original hardshell case.

This particular OM features a drop-in saddle, making it a great option for players looking to install one of our shop favorite pickups, the L.R. Baggs Anthem.
