The Collings MT Custom Mandolin, serial #3065, is a model Collings calls 'entry-level', but there's a real elegance and, of course, phenomenal tone with this MT. We've also added a few options we think really make this particular one special, including a slightly wider 1 3/16" nutwidth for comfortable playing. The top is Englemann Spruce paired with figured Maple back and sides, both with a subtle burst and satin nitrocellulose lacquer finish. This also has one of our favorite details, the 'haircut' headstock.

In addition to the wider nutwidth, we opted for ivoroid top binding instead of the standard tortoise, as well as ivoroid tuner buttons, which really set off the dark burst finish beautifully. Other details include nickel tuners, an adjustable Ebony floating bridge and an Ebony fingerboard. This Collings MT Custom Mandolin is one of the finest professional level mandos built today.
