This Collings 620 SM LC is an incredible new electric model from the team at Collings that has absolutely blown us away in terms of responsiveness, engineering and most of all, tone. Featuring a fully hollow, trestle block construction, this '60s inspired build takes the best of multiple Collings electrics and reimagines much of the design for a new model that knocks it out of the park.
The maple laminate body is slightly deeper than the standard Collings thinline, delivering a more airy, open and expressive acoustic response to this boutique electric, with a stronger midrange and more clarity when plugged in. Custom ordered with a Pelham Blue top and a gorgeous Golden Brown stain to the Maple body and neck, this is a striking guitar with classic, understated appointments.
Here with a pair of Righteous Sound Diadem pickups, with a Staple P90-inspired neck pickup and a Wide Range humbucker in the bridge, for a gorgeous top-end clarity that cuts through a mix while retaining a woody, growly tone to the midrange when pushed. An incredibly versatile set of pickups that we've really grown enjoy on multiple guitars that we've had here in the shop. Includes a free Mass Street setup from our crew of luthiers and the original hardshell case.
