This used Don Grosh Custom Set Neck electric is an outstanding guitar, with dual Grosh 302 and 327 humbuckers in a tone-tapped, old-growth Mahogany body with a nearly holographic 5A Flame Maple top. Inspired by PAF-style humbuckers, this Grosh pickup combo is unmistakably organic and musical, with distinct harmonic depth and clearness. This originally came stocked with Fralins - as it was created before Grosh made their own pickups. The owner had our own luthiers install the Grosh pickups at a later date and they sound fantastic.
The guitar has a gorgeous Tobacco Burst, ultra-thin nitrocellulose lacquer finish and a smooth-playing Mahogany neck with a Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard. The neck also has a Medium-Large profile that's very comfortable. Couple that with a 1 11/16" nut width and you've got a veritable shred-machine.
If you're looking for a killer rocker or your bluesy go-to guitar, this Don Grosh Custom Set Neck is a heavyweight contender. It's in Excellent condition with very little playwear. There are three very small nicks, the most noticeable on the top edge between the upper and lower bout. There are also two finish checking lines on the bass upper bout. All are hard to see, particularly being overshadowed by the superb Flame Maple top, and our shop luthiers have confirmed there are not of structural concern. Detailed photos available upon request. Includes original hardshell case.
