This used Eastman E8D acoustic guitar is a spectacular player in Near Mint condition. The top is solid Sitka Spruce paired with gorgeous solid Rosewood back and sides, both with Eastman's great nitro lacquer gloss finish. The build and styling here recall the great 'golden era' instruments of the 30s and 40s, with hand carved scalloped X bracing, classic herringbone binding, snowflake inlays and the great nitrocellulose lacquer finish that lets the woods' tones shine through.
This is a great player and has wonderful resonance and range. The nutwidth is a comfortable 1 3/4", with a bone nut, Gotoh open geared tuners, and a Rosewood bridge and fretboard. Already a value when it was new, it's now a total steal. It looks to have been barely played, though does show a bit of checking in a couple of areas, most noticeably on the upper bass bout (see photo) - otherwise this is super clean with generations of playing ahead. A hard case is included with this Eastman E8D.
