The Eastman ER3 El Rey Electric Archtop delivers great rocking tone in a smaller, lighter, and fully hollow carved body - really, only 14" across and just over 5 lbs.! Unlike the Spruce/Maple ER2, this has a Maple top with Mahogany back and sides with a stop tailpiece, making it a great choice for rock players who love archtops but crave a smaller, more Les Paul feel in hand and better feedback suppression. Designed by luthier Otto D'Ambrosio, it delivers an incredibly big, boisterous, warm sound with great sustain. Even when unplugged its resonance is something unheard of - and when plugged in this guitar truly sings. The Maple top and Mahogany back and sides are accented with Figured Maple binding, and the dual mounted Kent Armstrong humbuckers make it an immensely versatile guitar. This ER3 can cover blues and jazz of course but rockers will be blown away the tone, sustain and playability of this guitar.
With a 25 2/5" scale, crisp Mahogany neck, and a spacious 1 3/4" nut width, in addition to its staggeringly lightweight body, playing it is a real joy. Impeccable construction with details including a TonePros one-piece wrap-around bridge, gold-plated Gotoh tuners, and custom offset inlays along its Ebony fingerboard. Perfect for players who have trouble acclimating to larger-sized archtops but love the way they sound, the Eastman ER3 El Rey Electric Archtop is just the thing. Includes hardshell case and setup from one of our luthiers.
