The Empress Effects Vintage Modified Superdelay is an updated version of its award-winning Superdelay pedal - by combining all the great effects of the original, now with more compression and saturation found in authentic tape delays of the past. Plus you get everything from the Superdelay in the same pedal! Presets, tap tempo, reverse delay, expression pedal inputs, everything and more are here. What you have here allows up to 2.8 seconds of delay time for extra long delays; a Hi/Lo Pass switch (high pass is good for electronic music, while lo pass is great for darker, more analog sounds); a Fast/Slow Modulation switch that adds texture set to slow and gets a little crazy set to fast; and true bypass, so regardless of what you manage to create with it, your signal won't be affected.
It also has eight built-in effect modes for even more variability: Normal, Tap, Autoset, Reverse, Rhythm, Tape, Misc (dynamic, gate), Loop (an 11-second looper). In addition, it has an expression pedal input so you can control either the Mix or Feedback controls with your foot for easy on-stage use. Eight presets are included, but you can overwrite and save your own settings directly to the pedal, as well. No more scribbling down knob positions for every song!
And that doesn't even get into what the Superdelay side can do, including the ability to record layers upon layers of licks - and even reverse playback, so you can get extra weird. Oh, and its third mode will play your loop back an octave higher. Get weird.
